Knut is enjoying a snowstorm on Maeva Beach, Tahiti :-)
Knut has found a new God on Tahiti.
Katja is checking the water temperature at Maeva beach.
Capital Papeete and Moorea island in the background.
At the Blow Hole.
Tahiti has many beautiful waterfalls.
This tree has a complicated system of roots.
Katja at a site for human sacrifice.
Only men were sacrificed in Polynesia, my turn next?
Sunset at Maeva Beach with Moorea island in background.
Katja is enjoying Tahitian dancing with a hot Polynesian guy.
The performance was a success.
Moorea island (8. nov).
Beautiful view on Moorea island.
Is this sufficient to make the tree fall? Cook Bay (where captain Cook came ashore in 17..)
Vulcanic peak on Moorea.
Katja is cuddling with a Sting ray.
A Sting ray is trying to eat us.
Still trying to eat us.
Swimming with sharks.
Katja is studying local Moorean craftwork ...
Bora Bora.
Katja on her way to Bora Bora from the airport island (motu).
In the background Mount Otemanu (727m). Flower behind left ear means "taken", right ear - "available", or was it the opposite?;)
On Bora Bora it is so easy to dream away...Over water bungalows and Sofitel Motu in the background.
Katja is observing a beautiful sunset at Matira Beach.
Who is this "Polynesian" with gorgeous long hair?;) The southern point of Bora Bora: Point Matira.
Overwater bungalows with Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu in the background.
Life is great on Bora Bora! Katja is playing at the beach in Povai bay.
Yet another beautiful sunset at Matira Beach.
Knut is enjoying breakfast at the bungalows of Temanuata Iti
On boat trip in the lagoon of Bora Bora.
Katja is feeding the fish at Lagoonarium.
Barrier reefs around Bora Bora. Islands Raiatea and Tahaa in the background.
Bora Bora lagoon consists of several small islands (motu). Here on excursion to one of them.
Here one can do "island hopping" by foot:))
Still on the motu, with the inner vulcanic island in the background.
Cuddling with turtle. Poor little thing, it must be sick and tired of all the tourists:))
There is nothing more romantic than an overwater bungalow:))
In an overwater bungalow svimming is easy - just jump in the water!:)
Living in an overwater bungalow there may be all kind of sea-monsters to bee seen under your coffee table:)
An extremely exotic and rare view: Katja got up at 5 am to watch sunrise from the overwater bungalow. At first, Knut did not want to get up as well and take pictures, but did he have any choice?;)
Early morning, the sun has just risen.
Katja is demonstrating swimware fashion to neighbouring bungalows....
Still demonstrating...:)
Knut on the boat to Bora Bora airport.
Katja is taking farewell to Bora Bora and trying to get a "Titanic" experience.
Snorkeling
Katja is svimming with sharks at the barrier reef of Bora Bora.
Katja on Sofitel Motu. We swam to this motu from Matira beach (almost a kilometer!) as it has perfect snorkeling conditions.
Katja is feeding fish in Coral Gardens near Sofitel motu.
Katja is feeding fish in Coral Gardens 2.
Knut is feeding fish in Coral Gardens.
Mauruuru for your attention!
